Shares of WW International Inc., higher referred to as Weight Watchers, tumbled after hours on Wednesday, because the weight-loss platform said Oprah Winfrey planned to depart its board and donate her stake in the corporate after revealing that she used a weight-loss drug.
Weight Watchers WW said in an announcement that Winfrey had decided not to face for re-election at its annual shareholder meeting in May. Winfrey has served on the corporate’s board since 2015.
